Sparrow a breve nell’AppStore

A breve nel Mac AppStore approderà Sparrow, un client studiato apposta per Gmail che vi invito a provare. Dal comunicato ufficiale degli sviluppatori, in fondo a questo post, si appendono le licenze disponibili: 19.99 $ (offerta di lancio) per la versione pro affiancata da una versione free limitata dalla possibilità di configurare un solo account e dalla presenza di un po’ di pubblicità.

Per chi se lo fosse perso, ho già parlato brevemente del programma in questo post. Devo dire che la pubblicità non è affatto invasiva e, avendo un solo account Gmail, penso proprio che mi accontenterò della versione free. Tenete puntati i vostri occhi sull’AppStore, il rilascio dovrebbe essere nei prossimi giorni!

It’s been a while since we gave you news about Sparrow here. We’ve been busy. It’s time to catch up.

Sparrow 1.0 is almost ready and will come with a few surprises. We have recently started a Private Beta. The last bugs are being fixed right now thanks to the precious help of a dedicated team of beta testers. The app should be submitted to the Mac AppStore at the end of the week.

We couldn’t help but share the new Sparrow icon with you. If you like it, don’t hesitate to drop a note or ‘like’ it on Dribbble.

2 versions of Sparrow will be released. They’ll both be available in the Mac AppStore and on our website:

• Paid: Sparrow will cost $24,99 but early birds will benefit from the $19,99 introductory price.
• Free: Sparrow Lite will be ad-supported. Carbon Ads is providing the nice ads you have certainly seen in the latest Beta version. The free version will allow one-account creation only.

We can’t provide any precise release date yet as the application has to be approved by Apple. We’ll keep you updated on our progress as soon as we have news.
